Next at IABC Fort Worth
A few weeks ago TV cameras recorded a Rangers fan catching a ball that was tossed into the stands by a player at the Ballpark in Arlington. The cameras also recorded the bawling toddler sitting nearby who was upset because he wanted the souvenir too.
The video went viral instantly, and in one of those misunderstood it-could-happen-to-anyone moments, the life of the North Texas resident who caught the ball got really fouled up.
On June 19, IABC Fort Worth will host the man at the middle of the incident, Sean Leonard, who will tell his story and will offer insights into how an incident that becomes a social media event impacts the life of a private citizen.
Leonard will be joined in a panel discussion by Pilar Schank, a communications professional who assisted him with media relations through his crisis.

Event participants will also have the opportunity to tape a mock interview and receive feedback from the panelists.
