Drew Myers puts it pretty clearly when he says that a spear without a point is just a stick and a story without a point is just as dull.

As professional communicators, we face the continual challenge of making our stories relevant and interesting. Otherwise, we run the danger of losing our audience’s interest.

Myers will offer a fascinating look at Pointless Storytelling. He will share the secrets of telling your stories in an engaging and on-point way in a fascinating presentation that includes examples of the good, the bad and the ugly ways that professional communicators have communicated their stories.

He also will dissect the process from Storytelling 101 to the most advanced technical tools available to get your point across quickly, cleanly and compellingly.

Drew Myers – Director of Business Development for JO Design. He is a former newspaper designer, football coach, communications director, entrepreneur and consultant. While it’s been a professional whirlwind since he graduated with a degree in journalism, he has started to realize that he simply likes helping others tell their story. His favorite question for people: “What tugs at your heart strings?” He has a heart for philanthropy, and is on a mission to make giving back sexy and cool.
